A little help with school suppliesPosted: Updated:
School budgets are tight, and Oro Valley cops are doing something about it. The local police union pitched in for some back to school shopping.
Oro Valley school teachers and staff hit up the local Target to knock down their back to school shopping lists. They had some cash thanks to the Fraternal Order of Police.
Representatives with nine schools each received two hundred dollars to stock up for the new school year.
School staff says teachers often dip into their own money just to keep classrooms running. Today they grabbed folders, crayons, and nap time supplies. The best part of the shopping spree was the satisfaction of getting everything they need without putting a dent in their budget.
