Missing 4 year old Payson boy found safe

A ride in a helicopter, and on a horse - with a real live cowboy! No wonder a 4 year old Payson boy was in good spirits Monday, despite spending a night lost and alone over the weekend.

Travis Mitchell says he is feeling good. That's not bad considering the tough little four year old spent an entire night in the woods all by himself. he says he spent the night looking for his mom. He was able to find some wildlife.

Travis disappeared into dense forest in Payson on Sunday night. He was playing with friends and his older brother. After he went missing Hundreds of people showed up to help find the boy. Eighteen Hours later Wyman Kendal, on horseback, spotted little Travis. He was a mile and a half away from where the kids were playing.

Travis was checked out at the Payson Medical Center. He then went for a second helicopter ride to the Phoenix Children's Hospital for additional blood work.

Travis left the Phoenix Children's Hospital with his mother and headed back to Payson where family and friends are waiting with a big welcome home celebration.
