SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Surprise police say a suspect who recently robbed a Walgreens store and fled with prescription drugs may have been involved in other Valley robberies.

According to Sgt. Mark Ortega with the Surprise Police Department, the suspect walked up to the pharmacy counter at the Walgreens near Reems and Waddell roads at approximately 5:30 p.m. on July 27.

Ortega said the suspect brandished a weapon and ordered the employee to give him an undisclosed amount of narcotic pharmaceuticals.

The employee complied and the suspect fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches, 150 pounds and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved hooded sweatshirt and a dark baseball hat.

Detectives believe the suspect may be related to other Valley robberies.
