Police say babysitter accidentally kills toddler in Queen CreekPosted: Updated:
SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. - The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is calling the death of a two-year-old child in San Tan Valley a tragic accident.
Police say the boy's 30-year-old babysitter was dropping the toddler off, along with his older sibling.
The victim, Brycen Paul Burrell, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The babysitter was a family friend and neighbor who was watching Brycen and his sister down the street at her residence.
It appears as though the boy ran in front of the truck as the babysitter was leaving after dropping the siblings at their home and was run over.
The babysitter didn't know the boy had run into the roadway and in front of her vehicle.
No alcohol or drug impairment is involved and no criminal chargers are pending.
