Back to school, after fire, at Compass High

After the flames shooting from the Compass High School on Tucson's East side last Thursday night it seemed there was no way they could open for the new semester on Monday. They did. FOX 11's Brian Roberts was there as the school welcomed students early Monday morning.

On the first day of the new year at Compass High School things were exciting, and a bit different because the school went up in flames less than a week ago.

Compass High lost a lot of class room space including their dance, art, and graphic design studios, as well as the assembly room, and an entire computer lab.

Students found out their school was up in smoke almost immediately after it started. Some students started showing up Friday to see how they could help.
