A nineteenth century battle site near what's now Tucson City Hall. Just one marker of what puts Tucson's Presidio Neighborhood on the National Register of Historic Places. The Presidio has come a long way since 1775 when it was a walled fortress. Tour Guide Ken Scoville loves telling curious minds all about the area that runs north to south from Washington Street and Pennington and east to west from Church Avenue to Main.
Ken Scoville is actually a retired teacher who still works part time for the Amphitheater School District. He has been giving walking tours in Tucson for 25 years.

Ken Says putting together links from the past is what draws people in and makes them want to preserve whats left of the Presidio for generations to come.
