Excessive Heat Warning continues through MondayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – An Excessive Heat Warning that went into effect Saturday will remain in effect until Monday afternoon. Phoenix, Casa Grande and Gila Bend are all included in that warning.
We saw a high of 108 degrees on Saturday; 104 is the average and 113 is the record, which was set in 1988.
We’ve had nearly 7 inches of rain this year, which is about 2.3 inches more than average.
Plan on an overnight low of 88 degrees under clear skies.
Tomorrow will once again be sunny and hot, hot, hot – 111 degrees.
The sunshine continues through Monday, but come Tuesday, there’s a 20 percent chance of showers in the forecast. The chance will probably hang around for a couple of days.
