Woman's body found near New River; MCSO seeks public's help

PHOENIX -- A woman's body was found in the New River area Monday and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is seeking information to help solve the case.

The woman was last seen near 32nd Street and Grovers Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday. Sheriff's spokesman Jeff Sprong said she was wearing a black dress and walking her two dogs, a Dalmation and a Dalmation/pit bull mix.

The woman, whose name was not released, was found dead in the New River area on Monday.

Officials haven't determined how she got there or how she died.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the woman or her dogs to call the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office at 602-876-1011.
