300 Tucson residents without water ThursdayPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Contractors doing some work near the 9500 block of East Tanque Verde severed a 12-inch water main causing an outage for approximately 300 nearby residents.
Water service was restored Thursday night.
The water overflow ran into a nearby drainage wash, avoiding potential road closures.
The area affected by the outage was primarily in the Lakes at Castle Rock subdivision, south of Tanque Verde Road and east of Castle Rock Drive. Some residences north of Tanque Verde Road near Jeanette Avenue were also being affected.
Tucson Water distributed water bottles to residents affected by the outage.
