Grief counselors on hand at Camelback High after deadly wreckPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Grief counselors will be on hand at a Phoenix high school today to help students deal with the deaths of two of their classmates.
Uriel Delgado, 16, and Miguel Higuera, 15, were killed Friday when the SUV they were in slammed into another car, hit a brick wall and then rolled over. Both of the teens were students at Camelback High School.
Eight others students were in that SYV. Four of them remain in the hospital.
A memorial at the crash site at 28th Street and Thomas Road continues to grow. On Sunday, friends held car washes to help the teens' families with funeral costs.
Districts officials said they hope the deadly wreck will remind students to exercise extra caution as they head back to school.
