More questions than answers in Tempe double homicidePosted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. - Police are investigating a double homicide at a Tempe business.
Detectives responded to the scene in the area of Curry and McClintock Roads on Thursday at about 7 p.m. Officers discovered two men who had been shot to death.
They have been identified as 19-year-old John Louis Call, of Mesa, and 53-year-old James Sheldon Mosteller, of Tempe.
The victims are not related, but they were both employees of HD Industries, which is a machinery shop.
Police say a family member of Call called to report that he had not returned home from work. Investigators say they are still unsure if the fatal shootings were part of a robbery gone wrong.
Officers say they are not investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide. They believe it was a double homicide but have no suspect information at this time. They also have not provided a possible motive.
Detectives were on the scene all night searching for evidence and trying to put a timeline together.
