Tempe bank robbed offering reward leading to arrest of robbery suspect

TEMPE - Tempe has a bank robbery suspect on the loose too.

Tempe police are looking for the public's help in identifying a white male suspect who robbed the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union located at 1245 E. Broadway Road on July 30 around 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon.

According to police the suspect presented a note to the teller demanding money.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on a black sport motorcycle. He was last seen driving east through the bank parking lot.

No weapons were seen by anyone at the bank.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s, 5'7'', 160 pounds with a brown goatee and short brown hair. The suspect was seen wearing a plain dark baseball cap, mirrored sunglasses with orange or pink frames, a long sleeved white baggy t-shirt with a brown polo shirt with horizontal orange stripes over the long sleeved shirt, baggy brown pants and white tennis shoes with dark laces.

The suspect also have an unknown tattoo on the back of his neck and possible on his wrist.

Tempe police are asking anyone with information on the suspect's identity to contact the Tempe Police Department or Silent Witness.

Desert Schools Federal Credit Union is offering up $5,000 for original information leading to the conviction of the suspect.
