PHOENIX -- A monthlong investigation led Department of Public Safety investigators to a drop house in Phoenix Wednesday morning.

According to DPS Sgt. Kevin Wood, the DPS SWAT went into the house in the area of 51st Avenue and McDowell Road at about 6:30 a.m.

Inside the home, they discovered five adult males, two adult females and a little boy who is about a year old. Those people have been taken to IMPACT headquarters for questioning.

Wood said it's not yet clear if the people found Wednesday morning are connecting in any manner to a human-smuggling ring.
