Pregnant teen tries to smuggle meth into ArizonaPosted: Updated:
SAN LUIS, Ariz. -- Agents at the San Luis port of entry in southwestern Arizona arrested a pregnant teenager after they found her trying to smuggle methamphetamine into the U.S.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers say the 19-year-old woman tried to enter through the pedestrian crossing but was pulled aside for a search.
That's when officers found more than two pounds of meth strapped to the lower part of her stomach.
Officers say the woman is a U.S. citizen and is seven months pregnant.
She was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
