Supervisors name replacement for ousted lawmakerPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors named a replacement Monday for a state lawmaker ousted from office.
The board selected Kimberly Yee as the new representative for Legislative District 10 covering parts of Glendale and north Phoenix.
She replaces former Representative Doug Quelland who was removed from office for violating campaign finance laws.
Yee will serve the rest of this term and is also currently running in the primary which will be held Aug. 24.
Yee is director of communications in the State Treasurer's office.
Quelland is also seeking his old office and is using the same public financing system he's accused of abusing.
