Fire engulfs Phoenix Goodwill outlet

PHOENIX -- Phoenix firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a Goodwill outlet store on 16th Street early Saturday morning.

About 100 fire fighters responded to the blaze at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. No word yet on the cause of the fire.

"This one's very difficult for us because just the amount of square footage, very large structure, high ceilings, poor visibility with that amount of smoke. So we take it very cautiously and we don't want to risk our firefighters lives by going too deep into the building," Tony Mure with Phoenix fire said.

Back in 2001 Phoenix firefighter Bret Tarver was killed fighting a fire very similar to this one, but that building also had a more dangerous bowed-roof design.
