GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Glendale police arrested a couple they say are responsible for a rash of high-end bicycle thefts in the city.

According to Glendale police spokesman Officer Gerald Sydnor, detectives recovered more than 50 high-end bicycles, each ranging from $4,000 to $6,000 in value.

Sydnor said detectives determined Kris Diets committed at least 40 residential burglaries and was assisted by his live-in girlfriend, Elizabeth Brown.

Both suspects are in custody.

The bikes are being returned to the victims.
