Suzanne Haddock, Rochlin Nogales SCC Library, talks about some of the Library's programs.  On Monday's show, she says the Library  offers “Live” on-line homework help. She says students with library cards can get free “tutor assistance” via www.tutor.com. She says the online help is available, every day, whenever it is needed, in all subjects, from test preparation to doing reports and research projects. She says the help is “one-on-one” using the “chat room” format.  She says “live” homework help provides the homework assistance students need when and where they need it—even when the library is closed.   During Tuesday's discussion Haddock says for those who may be “digitally challenged,” the Library offers Computer Classes for Beginners. She says the classes are free with a Library card. On Wednesday's show, Haddock talks about the Children's story Hour that's available at the Nogales-Santa Cruz County Public Library. She says the program is designed for pre-school children. In addition to stories, she says children also participate in other learning activities.  The idea, she says, is to cultivate an early interest in reading and in books.
