Scattered showers cool off the ValleyPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- It's going to be a bit cooler than it has been today thanks to some scattered showers that are making their way through the Valley.
It's not a lot of rain, but enough to drop our temperatures below the seasonal average of 107 degrees. While it's going to be pretty muggy out there, the high should top out at just 101 today. Scattered showers are in the forecast all day, followed by a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
We’re going to have more chances of rain over the next couple of days as a steady stream of moisture flows into the state from the south. Those chances will be lower over the weekend, and then pick up again next week.
We're looking at another chance of showers tomorrow -- about 30 percent. The high will be about 103.
It will be a bit warmer through the weekend and there is a slight chance for some rain.
The better chance of thunderstorms will come by about the middle of next week.
