Excessive Heat Warning in effect through tomorrow night

PHOENIX -- Get ready to get sweaty. An excessive heat warning is out from now until Wednesday evening for the greater Phoenix area.

The National Weather Service says the excessive heat warning stretches from Gila Bend to Apache Junction with daytime high temperatures near 110 degrees over metropolitan Phoenix and as high as 113 degrees over portions of southwest Maricopa County.

Forecasters say very warm overnight low temperatures should range from the mid 80s over open desert and areas with vegetation to near 90 in the cities.

Forecast high temperatures Tuesday include 109 degrees at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and 111 degrees at Gila Bend.
