Chance of showers this evening, tomorrow; Excessive Heat Watch continuesPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The big story for Sunday is the Excessive Heat Warning that will remain in effect until 8 p.m.
It looks like we hit the peak in our high temperatures yesterday (113), which means things should cool down ever so slightly over the next couple of days.
A 20 percent chance of showers will stay in the forecast through Sunday. Monsoon storms have been swirling to the south and to the north of the Valley, but none of that moisture has made it to us.
Plan on a high of 111 degrees tomorrow, and then 109 on Monday and 110 on Tuesday. Overnight lows will hover in the low 90s.
A chance of showers returns to the forecast by Wednesday.
