State hiring 14000 poll workers for upcoming elections

PHOENIX - The State of Arizona is hiring poll workers to work the polls for the primary election on August 24 and general election on November 2.

The Secretary of State's office will be hiring about 14000 poll workers.

Poll workers are paid for their time.

Applicants must be 16-years-old, a U.S. Citizen, attend a required training, available for on the dates and a registered voter.

As a poll worker you will assist in setting up and taking down the polling location, providing direct help to voters, knowing how to properly use the voting unit, checking voter ID and issuing ballots.
