MESA, Ariz. – A woman accused of vandalizing her boyfriend’s car faces criminal charges.

Officers in Mesa say they went to a home in the area of Guadalupe and Alma School roads on Sunday afternoon after receiving reports that a woman, later identified as 23-year-old Chandra Reed, was damaging a vehicle.

The woman's boyfriend flagged officers down when they arrived at the scene and told police Reed had vandalized his car using a dog leash.

The man waited outside while police went to talk to Reed, whom they say opened the door completely in the nude and holding a beer.

She reportedly told officers she had been skinny dipping. Police say Reed appeared to be either drunk or under the influence of drugs.

She was asked to put clothes on for questioning, but police say she called the officers “pigs” and refused to answer any questions. Officers notified Reed that her boyfriend had caught the entire incident on cell phone video.

Reed is accused of causing about $1,000 in damages to her boyfriend’s vehicle. She faces aggravated assault and criminal damage charges.
