Slow warm-up starts again, possible storms this weekendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- After the coolest Fourth in July we've seen in six years, the slightly below-average temperatures continue today, but it won't last for long.
We have a 110-degree day forecast later in the week as a high pressure ridge strengthens. We're also looking at about a 20 percent chance of some monsoon storms this weekend.
There's a better chance for storms in northern and eastern Arizona during the second part of the week.
Plan on a high of 105 degrees today, 106 tomorrow, and 107 on Wednesday. Overnight lows should hover in the mid 80s.
