Suspect in Tucson car bomb death extradited to ArizonaPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The woman indicted in the 1996 car-bomb slaying of real estate developer Gary Triano in Tucson has been extradited from Austria.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department says Triano's former wife Pamela Phillips was escorted to the county jail late Friday by U.S. marshals.
Phillips was arrested last year in Austria on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder in Triano's death.
He was killed when his car blew up in the parking lot of a Tucson country club on Nov. 1, 1996.
Prosecutors allege Phillips hired Ronald Young to carry out the bombing. Young was convicted in April in Triano's murder and sentenced to two life terms.
