PARADISE VALLEY – Police need help finding a man who they say burglarized a Paradise Valley home and made off with about $11,000 worth of items.

Paradise Valley police say the victim arrived at her boyfriend’s home on Friday at about 9 p.m. in the 9500 block of north 70th Street.

The woman reportedly went into the master bedroom and saw that the lights in the hallway of the master bedroom closet were turned on. The victim says she was then confronted by the suspect who came from the closet and pointed a gun at her.

The victim says the suspect told her to close her eyes and not look at him before demanding money and jewelry.
Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect based on the information the victim was able to provide.
He is described as an African American male with a very dark skin color and very short hair, possibly bald. He was wearing all black clothing at the time including skater-type shoes with a white and light blue logo on the side.

The suspect reportedly spoke in a deep, calm voice and, according to the victim, had a Jamaican-type accent.

The man told the woman to get in the closet and fled the scene with the stolen property, which included a handgun, a watch and other jewelry.
