PHOENIX -- Police throughout Arizona will be targeting drunken drivers both past and present over the Fourth of July weekend.
Police will be stationed throughout Phoenix and Tucson and more rural parts in the state on the lookout for people driving while drunk this weekend.
Additionally, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Phoenix police and Scottsdale police will deploy officers throughout greater Phoenix to find people with outstanding DUI warrants.
DPS says officer will track down and arrest the violators in their homes, workplaces and wherever else they can be found.
That effort begins Thursday and ends Friday.
Both task forces are partially funded by the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
