CHANDLER – Police continue to look for a suspect who has robbed two banks in Chandler and one in Mesa in a five-week span.

A man seen wearing what appears to be a wig and sunglasses has been captured by surveillance cameras at two of the banks he has allegedly robbed.

The first bank robbery police say the suspect was involved in took place on May 22 at a Desert Schools Federal Credit Union located near Alma School and Guadalupe in Mesa.

On June 9 the suspect robbed a Chase bank and on Saturday he allegedly robbed a U.S. bank branch inside a Safeway store, both in Chandler.

The man reportedly did not display a weapon during either of the robberies.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late-20s with a thin build standing about six feet tall.
Surveillance photos show the suspect wearing a shoulder-length wig and sunglasses.

Photos of the suspect wearing green were taking during the June 9 robbery and photos of the suspect wearing black were taken during Saturday’s robbery.

Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to contact Chandler police by calling (480) 782-4130 or by submitting an anonymous tip on the Chandler Police website.

Desert Schools Federal Credit Union is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the conviction of the suspect.
