Surprise police release photos of Subway robber

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Surprise Police Department has released surveillance photos of a suspect who robbed a Subway restaurant more than a week ago.

According to police, the suspect entered the Subway restaurant at 14455 W. Grand Ave. in Surprise at 9:30 p.m. on June 21 and told an employee to give him money from the register.

Sgt. Mark Ortega said the man had a rifle or a shotgun under his shirt and the barrel down his right pant leg.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds and clean shaven.
