PHOENIX -- Phoenix police are searching for a woman who allegedly walked into a Circle K, pulled a knife and robbed the clerk.

It happened in the area of 19th and Peoria avenues just before 2:00 the morning of Sunday, June 6.

According to police, the woman pulled a 3-inch folding knife, threatened the clerk and demand cash from the register.

She also took cigarettes before fleeing the store on foot. No vehicle was seen.

The suspect is described as a white female between 33 and 37 years old. She is about 5 feet 5 or 6 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds. She has brown hair and was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect. In one of them , the sunglasses are pulled down so her eyes are visible.

The clerk was not injured.

Police have not said exactly how much money the woman got away with.
