Landscapers find body inside Phoenix Dumpster

PHOENIX -- Phoenix police officers are investigating after landscapers found a body inside a Dumpster Sunday morning.

Phoenix police officers were called to Western International University near Dunlap Avenue and Interstate 17 after a man's body was found inside a trash bin shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday.

According to Phoenix police Detective James Holmes, landscapers working on the property found the victim when they went to deposit trash in a Dumpster.

Holmes said the 61-year-old white male had what appeared to be some burns to his face, but the manner of death could not be determined.

The victim has not been positively identified and the investigation is ongoing.
