Grandfather pulls two-year-old grandson from Phoenix pool not breathingPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Phoenix Fire responded to a drowning call Friday night at a residence near 90th Avenue and Thomas Road.
A two-year-old boy was pulled from the backyard pool by his grandfather and rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital in critical condition.
The young boy was possible submerged for as long as 10 minutes.
It is believed that one of the younger children at the home opened a back door, which allowed the 2-year-old to get out of the house and into the pool.
The investigation into the near drowning continues at the home, while family are at the hospital with the young victim.
