Flasher surprising joggers, walkers on Phoenix trailPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Police say someone's been surprising joggers on a popular Phoenix trail by flashing them as they go by.
It's happening on the Bridle Trail near Central Avenue between Bethany Home Road and Dunlap Avenue.
Police say it's happening in broad daylight between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Officers are in the area running more patrols and they think there's more than one suspect.
Investigators say everyday of the week, except Tuesday, someone has exposed themselves to joggers.
"Getting ahead of female joggers in this case in a variety of ages and literally exposing themselves to these joggers as they're going down the bridle path," Sgt. Trent Crump said.
The victims range in age from 14 to 50 and the suspects range too.
"There's some varying descriptions and there's also a couple of varying vehicle descriptions which is why we believe there is more than one individual that could be involved in it," Sgt. Crump said.
So far police say the exhibitionists have struck at least six times.
Police say they have descriptions of at least two different men both said to be between the ages of 20 and 30, clean shaven and average builds.
One car is described as a small blue car, possibly a Cavalier and the other a silver truck with a white camper.
