Grant for employment and training of homeless Tucson vets

Two local organizations will receive more than four hundred and $40,000 in grants to help out homeless veterans.

The Primavera Foundation will receive $200,000 to be used for employment and training services. It's all part of the department of labor's homeless veterans re-integration program.

"We are going to be serving approximately 80 veterans. Were also going also going to be providing educational services. 80% of the people that go through this program will be receiving higher education or job training programs," says Ashley Nowe from the Grants Corp. Giving Dir. Primavera

Pima County will get $245,000 for job training for homeless vets.
