Push to recruit Latino voters; More SB 1070 lawsuits
Posted: Updated:Immigrant-rights groups, including the Tucson-based Border Action Network and Democracia U.S.A. have launched a massive effort to get Latinos registered to vote.
They say the best way to voice their opposition to Arizona's new immigration law-- is at the polls in November. Several organizations and volunteers are getting the word out on-line -- and on the streets.

Mexico is now suing Arizona over the new illegal immigration law.
The country's government is asking a federal court here to declare SB 1070 unconstitutional. Mexico says one state shouldn't strain its relations with the u.S., and it has a legitimate interest in defending its citizens' rights.
A Tempe man also launched a new effort to put SB1070 to a vote. It is the third proposed referendum since Governor Brewer signed the measure.
