PHOENIX -- Phoenix police are searching for two suspects after a man was shot in a park early Sunday morning.

Police officers responded to Harmon Park near Fifth Avenue and Buckeye Road after a report of gunshots at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers found Johnny Adame, 21, had been shot and was on the ground. According to Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump, Adame later died as a result of his injury.

Crump said two males wearing dark clothing were seen fleeing the park on foot.

Detectives later learned Adame's vehicle was missing. The vehicle was described as a two-door 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo with tinted windows and 24-inch rims. The car had a Wildcats license plate numbered M3607.

Crump said the vehicle was found unoccupied Monday near 18th and Portland streets. The rims and license plate are still missing.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspect or suspects. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Silent Witness and 480-WITNESS.
