Gilbert man arrested for aggravated DUI with BAC four times legal limit

GILBERT, Ariz. - Gilbert police take aggravated DUI suspect into custody after a citizen reported the vehicle being involved in an accident.
The citizen report stated the car was involved in a non-injury collision and continued driving. After another report came in stating the car was driving on two rims officers were able to locate the suspect John Wilcox by following gouges left in the pavement.
Wilcox initially resisted arrest and sustained slight lacerations to his chin.
A preliminary BAC reading showed Wilcox had a blood alcohol content of 0.303, nearly four times the legal limit.
According to police, Wilcox was transported to Gilbert Mercy for evaluation for unrelated issues.
