Name confusion leads hate mail, threats for Valley PR professional

PHOENIX -- Late last month, a California woman made the news for suing Google after she was hit by a car while following walking directions from the Google Maps application on her cell phone. Lauren Rosenberg claims Google is to blame for the accident because those directions led her to walk on a highway in Park City, Utah.

People immediately began expressing their opinions about the story, even emailing and calling Lauren Rosenberg. The problem is they've been contacting the wrong Lauren Rosenberg.

Scott Pasmore and Tara Hitchcock chat with Lauren Rosenberg, a public relation professional based here in the Valley and in Santa Monica, Calif., about the situation. Rosenberg, who is not suing Google for anything, says she's been inundated messages and even threats -- all because of her name.
