More children live in poverty; Arizona men unhealthy

A new study of census data finds 1 in 5 american children lives in poverty -- that's the highest level seen in two-decades.

Analysts with the non-profit "foundation for child development" report nearly 19% of U.S. families have incomes below the federal poverty level.


According to the state health department, 86% say their health is good, some even excellent. But the centers for disease control and prevention lists arizona as 30th in the nation for men's health.

The CDC reports 73% of our men are overweight or obese, and an unusual number have high cholesterol.
