Water main break on 22nd StreetPosted: Updated:
TUCSON -- On 22nd Street, underneath the street, a water pipe that's used to move large amounts of water was accidentally broken.
Water was shooting out of the ground about five feet high.
A Union Pacific Railroad worker was drilling in the area -- went about six to eight feet deep, and hit the water line. Some businesses on 22nd Street lost water pressure for a while.
Tucson water doesn't know yet how much water was lost. It'll take about three to five days to repair.
