Insurance company helping Tucson handle pot-holesPosted: Updated:
The roads in the city are about to get a lot smoother. Thanks to the Hartford Financial Services Group.
The auto insurance provider has teamed up with the City of Tucson to fill pot-holes! They're going to donate funds to buy the materials crews need to smooth out the streets for a week. Labor is also included in that cost.
A Hartford spokesman says the company understands everyone is feeling the pinch due to the economy-- so it wanted to pitch in, "People are passionate about pot-holes and we are an auto insurance company and if there's a way for us to make the drive smoother we believe it will be safer and that helps everybody."
The Hartford launched the pot-hole patrol program in Tucson last October.
