PRESCOTT – A former employee of a fast food restaurant in Prescott was arrested for burglarizing the eatery.

The suspect, identified as Phillip Tipa, of Prescott Valley, burglarized a Wendy’s located on Glassford Hill Road by reaching through the drive-thru window and taking money from the cash register.

Prescott police say the suspect was scared away by another employee inside the restaurant.

Investigators were able to identify Tipa as a former employee of that Wendy’s location. He was located and taken into custody. Police say Tipa admitted to the burglary during questioning.

He is in the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde facing one count of burglary.
