Tucson bank robbery suspectPosted: Updated:
Monday was a busy morning for Tucson police and two local Wells Fargo banks.
TPD tell us a man hit two branches just about an hour apart.
After being chased off empty-handed by bullet-proof glass at the Wells Fargo on Speedway and Cherry he headed for the Grant and Silverbell location, where he slipped a note to a teller and took off with the cash drawer.
He's described as a white male, 26-30 years-old, about 150 pounds, with short brown hair.
"It's certainly alarming to employees in this branch who have seen 4 robberies now in the last year, in fact one just happened at this branch about 2 weeks ago," says Sgt. Fabian Pacheco of the Tucson Police Department
No word how much money he took. Detectives suspect he had an accomplice. No one was hurt in either incident.
