No relief in sight for tenants at Phoenix complex with no air conditioningPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – It was another hot night in the Valley with temperatures in the upper 90s and people living in a central Phoenix apartment complex are still without air conditioning.
Tenants say there are problems with the cooling system at the Paseo Verde Apartments at 7th Avenue and Campbell.
A landlord tenant counselor for the City of Phoenix says residents need to give management a written complaint.
A spokesperson with the city says, “In this case, when it’s air conditioning, it's five-day health and safety notice. If the landlord fails to comply and remedy the problem within the five days, the tenant can request an inspection from the City of Phoenix."
One family says they have been without air conditioning since they moved in this past March.
