PHOENIX – After about five hours of deliberation a verdict was reached in the case of a love triangle that ended in murder.
Sixto Balbuena was found guilty of second-degree murder for the stabbing death of an 18-year-old who was in the bedroom of his fiancé.
Tamara Hofmann was the teacher of the victim at the time. She was also a former teacher of Balbuena. She has not been charged in this case.
Balbuena will be sentenced in July.
