CHANDLER – The boyfriend of a missing Chandler woman has been detained and is now considered a person of interest in her disappearance.

Jamie Laiaddee was reported missing by her father, Sompongse Laiaddee, on May 28 after she had not been seen for ten weeks.

Officers went to Jamie’s home in Chandler where she was living with her boyfriend, Bryan Stewart, whom police later discovered his true identity was Rick Wayne Valentini. Police found Jamie’s car, keys and purse but were unable to locate Valentini.

He was later located in Scottsdale in Jamie’s vehicle and taken into custody after it was discovered he had an outstanding arrest warrant for traffic violations.

Police say Valentini initially provided them with false information about his identity. Detectives found out he had reportedly been using Jamie’s credit cards as well for several weeks following her disappearance.

Valentini is being held at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office jail where he faces charges including credit card fraud, theft of credit cards, probation violation, identity theft, weapons violation and a warrant.

Valentini was named a person of interest in Jamie’s disappearance by Chandler police.

Anyone who knows Valentini or may have information on Jamie’s whereabouts is asked to call (480) 782-4130 or call 480-WITNESS.
