PHOENIX -- Police converged on an area in a neighborhood near 16th Street and Roeser Road Thursday morning.
Officers set up a perimeter of about 10 blocks as they searched for a pair of suspects who were involved in a armed robbery earlier in the morning. Those two suspects were eventually caught.
Details about the robbery were not immediately available, but the initial call went out at about 4 a.m. It possible that some of the victims of that situation were injured.
Police followed the suspects, two African American men, to that Central Phoenix neighborhood. The suspects dumped the vehicle they were in and took off on foot.
Officers, with the help of K-9 units, spent the early morning hours scouring the area, eventually catching the two suspects.
Investigators said it's possible that the suspects in custody are connected to a second armed robbery that happened either very early this morning or late last night.
