Arizona softball must overcome previous disappointment in OklahomaPosted: Updated:
When newcomers sign on to be Arizona softball players they know the standard that comes with the program. Not only do you get to the Women's College World series, you're expected to be in contention for the National Championship.
Surprisingly, only two players on this years roster know that feeling; short-stop K'lee Arredondo and pitcher Sarah Akamine. Both were on the National Championship team that defeated Tennessee in 2007. The freshmen have not played a game in Oklahoma City yet while the sophomores and juniors have never won a game, which includes last year's 14-nothing exit courtesy of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
