Scottsdale police investigating three-month old girl's deathPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE - Scottsdale Police is investigating the death of a three-month-old female at a home near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Cactus Road.
A neighbor placed a 911 call around 11:20 a.m Friday of an infant who was not breathing.
Paramedics arrived an found the infant unresponsive and not breathing.
They transported the three-month-old female to Scottsdale Heath care-Shea where she was pronounced dead.
The home where the child was found is a licensed family child care facility. At the time of the incident there was the adult female caretaker and four other children ranging in age from three to five at the home.
The caretaker told Scottsdale police she placed the infant in a crib to nap.
About an hour later when she checked on the baby and found her not breathing.
The caretaker is cooperating with police as they continue to investigate the infant's death.
