GLENDALE – Two teenagers were shot in Glendale but police have called off their search for any suspects.
The teens reportedly told police they were in their car at about 3 p.m. in the area of 71st Avenue and Indian School when someone shot into their car.
The 18 and 19-year-old victims had been shot. One of them suffered a gunshot graze to the hand and the other was shot in the shoulder.
The teens drove to the area of 77th Avenue and Camelback, where one of them reportedly lives, and waited for an ambulance. They are both expected to recover from their injuries.
Police say the teens are being uncooperative and their story does not check out. Officers called off their search for the suspects. They did not see any bullet holes in the vehicle and could not find witnesses to interview or enough evidence to continue looking for suspects.
